The Christmas Angel

Something awoke inside of me last Christmas
It made me look at things a different way
All the gifts we buy and cards we write
Still something wasn’t right
It seemed that something good had gone away

Then heaven sent me down the Christmas angel
With stained glass eyes that words couldn’t conceive
Then came the song of a thousand Christmas angels
Calling out to me on Christmas day

I got up and walked beside the angel
The path we took led me to a door
He said "Go out son into the world and spread the Good News”
About the Child who was born with eyes that knew
