Born in Reading UK, David James Searle is a creative renegade who not only creates varied, powerful electronica but is also a writer of experimental novels, poetry and a digital artist with a love of bright colours.

I spent the last few years running a couple of publishing companies, record labels and internet businesses before deciding to concentrate on my own creative output. I still run one publishing company - www.searlepublishing.com

Main Influences on Elektro Beatnik

My musical tastes are eclectic and wide. Currently I'm really into the 'San Fransisco' scene of the '60s with a strong passion for Grace Slick, Hot Chip and European Electronica artists like Gudrun Gut.

My own music may not reflect what I'm listening to because I want to create something new - so I go to strange creative worlds and bring back weird jewels.
