Ewell Morris Medley: The Bell/Up near Shere/Maiden Over
Our medley of some of the Ewell Morris Tunes.
The team danced into The Morris Ring with 'The Bell' Adderbury in 1986.
Nowadays we dance it as a Ewell hanky corner dance, with slows - but very close to the original in many ways!
'Up near Shere' is a title bestowed by Chris Pottinger to 'The Valiant Lady' a Lucy Broadwood song found by Kate Jackson - we dance this as a Ewell stick-dance.
The set ends with 'Maiden Over' a tune adapted from 'The Maid of the Mill' family of Morris tunes & a vigorous hanky dance!
