My music is a fresh, new style of instrumental urban music. It combines jazz, funk, disco, soul, and hip-hop. I want to gain new fans and listeners who want good, clean, fun, and wholesome music without explicit content.
History of Kevin G.
Early on, I was influenced by old school music of the 70's and 80's, including artists such as Lakeside, the Isley Brothers, Roger and Zapp, Parliament, and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, just to name a few. Later, I was influenced by the Hip-hop and R&B of the early 90's, including artists such as DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Mary J. Blige, TLC, and Jodeci. Additionally, in the late 80's and early to mid 90's, I was influenced by the "King of Pop," the late Michael Jackson. Although I prefer the Disco and Funk music of the old school nowadays, you will find a little bit of both genres in my music.
