For Artists:
Songstall charges a fee on all sales made through the Songstall system.
Songstall does not charge for Basic signup, Artist Profiles or for uploads. . Songstall takes a cut from your sales made through the system, so we only make money if you make money. However, we do offer a Premium account, for which there is a yearly charge, in exchange for reduced rates and extra features. Songstall charges the following:

Artists decide the price of their music on the Songstall system, within the following parameters:
Artist's Currency Single Price Range Album Price Range
£ GBP £0.35 to £5.00 £1.35 to £100.00
$ USD $0.48 to $8.00 $2.00 to $100.00
€ EUR €0.55 to €6.00 €1.60 to €100.00
$ CAD $0.48 to $8.00 $2.00 to $100.00

The price you set is the price your customers will pay, not the amount you will make. The amount you make will be subject to Songstall’s charges detailed above. The Songstall system will tell you how much you will make per sale when you are setting your price.

Customers may buy artists' music in any available currency. Where this occurs Songstall will use its own exchange rates to determine an equivalent price in that currency. This does not affect the amount you will receive for your sales in your chosen currency.

Artists can track their sales via the Account Overview page, and Songstall will issue Statements to Artists each month, summarising their sales.

Payments are made to Artists when the artist requests a draw-down via the Account Overview page. This is subject to the amount due to the artist being £5.00 GBP / $10.00 USD / €10.00 EUR / $10.00 CAD or more, and that the funds are deemed to be “available”.

All sales are detailed on the Statement at the end of that particular month. Funds from that statement will become available for draw-down after the following month’s statement is issued.

For example, any sales made in October will be detailed on the Statement issued at the end of October, and will become available once the next statement has been issued at the end of November. This means that there will be a delay of between 4 and 9 weeks before funds become available for draw-down. This is to ensure that all payments are cleared satisfactorily and to allow a period for refunds or chargebacks to occur.

Artists must use Paypal to draw-down their available funds. The Artist should open their own Paypal account, and then draw down the available funds using the links from the Account Overview page. This does not incur any further charges from Songstall. This is the only method of draw down available, and Songstall cannot pay your funds in any other way. If you are not willing to use this method, do not use Songstall. If there are specific business reasons for you not to use Paypal, please contact Songstall directly to discuss alternatives before signing up.

In all cases, all Artists, Customers and Users agree to be bound by the Songstall Terms and Conditions.

The Songstall Pricing and Payment Policy is subject to change at any time and without prior notice.
